Planarity

25th October 2006

Here’s my latest addiction. It’s a game called Planarity. Rearrange the blue vertices so that none of the edges overlap.

So far, I’ve made it to the 16th level with a score of 6611. Take a screenshot of your best score and post it in the comments.

It starts getting easy, doesn’t it?

Once I figured out the strategy, yes, it did get easy.

[…] Via Naught Much, we have this addicting game called Planarity. The goal is to move the blue vertices on the graph so that none of the edges overlap (i.e. make the graph planar). Darn, and here I was thinking I might get a lot of work done today… […]

I got bored with it. Have you played 3-D tic-tac-toe? There are a few java versions out there. I like this one by Chris Malumphy.

Planarity had me hopping made after just a few rounds. It filled the screen and wouldn’t give me any room to work. I couldn’t zoom out. Drove me crazy. Perhaps I should have been using a different browser. (I could zoom in no problem, as if I needed that!)
